Lea

Lea began practicing yoga as a way to add to her existing exercise program. Her physical practice began to form into part of her daily routine and from there she started to see the positive impact yoga had on her body-mindfulness. Yoga taught Lea to become more comfortable with her body as it gave her a sense of awareness that she had been searching for. In the Spring of 2020, Lea developed a deeper practice for the other aspects of yoga including pranayama and meditation. It was then that Lea decided to use her free time during quarantine to begin her 200-hour teacher training through the online yoga teacher training at the Yoga & Ayurveda Center. Lea completed her training in June 2020 and began teaching classes that next month. As a teacher, Lea incorporates hatha and vinyasa-style yoga into her classes. She enjoys teaching beginners as she reminds herself of the place she was in when she began her journey. Lea encourages everyone and all levels to give yoga a try to see if it’s a fit for them. Come join her on your mat!
